THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GOD FOR GIVING ME A HEALTHY BABY.
Yesterday was Lily’s second day at daycare, and I received a phone call about two hours after dropping her off that she was spitting up badly. Lily has acid reflux, and I reassured her teacher she was fine. But then my best friend and Lily’s godmother, who works at the daycare, informed me this was not normal spit-up and she seemed very lethargic & that she should probably go home. From one to ten, I was a 13 on the worry scale. I couldn’t pick her up because I’m one of two employees at my job, and the woman had already finished her shift for the day. My sister picked her up and brought her to my mom’s. I think the fact that I couldn’t be there for my child made me freak out more. I was about to have a breakdown while sitting at my desk. I was actually crying becausr I was worried so much. I called my mom every 15 minutes. I’m a new mom, shut up. Turns out, she just had a little bug. She had one watery bowel movement and she was fine all night. Ok, that’s an understatement. She pooped all over her chair and my mom and had to be put in the tub with all of her clothes on. But regardless, my baby was just fine. I have never felt more relieved.
