My little Lily,

I’ve had no complaints thus far in my pregnancy, but you’re starting to make daily tasks rather difficult. Late night ER trips are no fun either, hun. I know you’ve got to make room in there so you can grow, but take it easy on me. I’m not a big fan of pain, and at times you KILL me. I’ll love you regardless, but if you want a college fund you better start to calm down… just kidding :)

But really, stop making my insides stretch so quickly.

I roll from my side to my back & this happens. Creepy huh?!

Weird Pregnancy Occurrence:

feeling Lily’s foot just resting against the side of my stomach.

She’s a weird one, k.

Overall, being pregnant has been amazing.

I may be speaking far too soon, seeing as the hardest part is still ahead of me, but I really have gotten so lucky. When talking to other pregnant women, they have SO MUCH SHIT to bitch about, and at first I was scared that there was something wrong with me because I was not feeling the pain they were. I’ve realized, though, that I’ve just been blessed with a (somewhat) easy ride. Don’t get me wrong, when I hurt, I hurt B A D. It’s enough pain to make me never want to have children again… And I haven’t even gone through childbirth yet. But those bad moments are few and far between. Yay for Lily not being a hellion inside the womb!

I know this picture is a bit creepy, with the lack of eyeballs & all that. But isn’t she just beautiful? I’m so glad I was able to get the hospital ultrasound. It was very detailed and I got to find out her estimated weight (4 lbs 6 oz). She has hair and was grabbing her foot. It was adorable.

Yo, kid. I don’t know what you’re doing in there, but you’re making me sick :( This recent bout of nauseousness is really getting to me.

Most days I’m in a constant state of anxiety when I remember that my child will be here in just about a month. But today, right now, nothing makes me happier than realizing that very soon a beautiful little girl will be calling me mom. Someone will actually need me. She is going to love me, and I am going to love her, and I can feel my heart swell in my chest every time I think about it.

Drink coffee, Lily freaks out. Note taken.

I’m thinking that after my second baby shower this weekend, Lily can feel free to vacate the premises as soon as possible. I’ll be 37 weeks next Tuesday, and I want her to get here before I get all whiny and miserable.

The picture on the right is of me at my baby shower, 35 weeks & 5 days pregnant. The picture on the left is from today, 36 weeks & 6 days pregnant. The size difference, to me, is incredible. One week passes and I have ballooned. I love my belly.

Lily’s crib. Eric’s mom is the best garage-saler ever.

Because I know it can be confusing…

Lily’s dad and my boyfriend are two different people. I’m sure there’s been a “wtf” moment when I’ve ranted about one and shortly after raved about the other. Hope that helped.

I AM 38 WEEKS PREGNANT, LILY. GET OUT.

My lady parts are so… achy. It’s weird. I don’t know if it has anything to do with her, though. Another doctor’s appointment today at 1:30. Hopefully he tells me I’m dilating or something, but I’m pretty sure absolutely nothing has changed since the last time I saw him all of three days ago. Fingers crossed. I’m trying to stay optimistic. I’m far too impatient for this. I guess in the mean time I’ll be enjoying the peace & quiet and the alone time I have with Eric while I still can. I hope I don’t miss it too much.

Taken two days before Lily’s estimated arrival.
